Welcome to Melting Grounds, showing off Oregon's creative side representing a minority of artists who have began to produce visually appealing functional recycled glass art. This exciting and new category of artistry is called up-cycled art. The concept consists of making something new out of something that's value has already been taken or used. Melting Grounds redefines meaning and gives new purpose to glass bottles of all varieties. We use wine, beer, hard alcohol, soda, maple syrup and any oddly mis-shapen bottle in need of a make over :) You will find our unique and expressive pieces under the labeled categories  section located at the top of the page. Also at the top of the page is the Events tab. There you will  find upcoming events Melting Grounds will be participating in. Our functional and recreated glass art supports the concept of green living by reusing rather than throwing away empty glass bottles.  We have enacted a vision of impacting the planet we live in positively by reusing that which we use in excess and then disgard. It's our ambition to reach people with our concept and hopefully inspire and motivate them to support us and also find new ways of reusing throw away items that hold a purpose in their hearts :) We have a variety of contributers to our cause including local businesses, friends and family; all of which add to the variety and ultimately the quality of our work. We want to give thanks and recognition to those who have helped us on our journey.
